How the TRIBEZA Team Refuels During SXSW

SXSW is officially underway, and this year we find ourselves running around more than ever.

Whether you're visiting from out of town or you’re an Austin local looking for a place to escape the chaos, you'll need a break this week. Here's some of our best tips for recharging, refueling and getting through the 10-day fest.

“A cortado from Houndstooth Coffee at the corner of 4th and Congress is the best quick caffeine fix. I also use Uber a lot –– so long as the surcharge is not too high.”

“I escape downtown, jump on my dilapidated ‘70s road bike and cruise over to Justine’s to sip rosé in their breezy garden.”

SOFIA SOKOLOVE | Assistant Editor

“I stock up on red lipstick for all the days that turn into nights. I also find myself spending a lot of money on those fancy water bottles at Royal Blue Grocery. They get me every time.”

LEXI ROSS | Account Executive

Figure 8 Coffee Purveyors in East Austin is a little gem. Their espresso is the best in town and the atmosphere is just as good.”

DEREK VAN WAGNER | Sales and Operations Manager

Las Trancas Taqueria on East Cesar Chavez has some of the best al pastor tacos in Austin. And they're open until 12am for that late night fix.”

“Always, always breakfast tacos. My favorites are from Con Madre Kitchen on East Oltorf. Make sure to get them a la Mexicana, you'll never want to eat them any other way.”

“Hiding out in Hyde Park is the way to go. I love going to Flightpath Coffee House for an iced chai or a glass of wine while getting some work done.”
